Natural sawn thin veneer is a “real” stone that is sawn 1″-1.5″ thick making it lightweight. Because of this, it is typically used for application as a wall covering for both exterior and interior surfaces, fireplaces and other wall applications where weight and time for installation might be a factor. Thin veneer stone installs quickly and easily over a wide variety of substrates because of its light weight (usually less than 15 lbs per square foot) which allows for greater versatility and no need for a weight bearing foundation.
